Fall Fun is Back! What's New at the Texas Renaissance Festival for 2025 and Why We Love Living Nearby

I know that what makes a community truly special isn't just the houses—it’s the culture, the history, and the amazing local events. And around here, nothing signals the start of fall like the return of the Texas Renaissance Festival (TRF)!
The 51st season of the Texas Renaissance Festival, situated near Magnolia in Todd Mission, kicked off on October 11th and runs every weekend through November 30th (plus Thanksgiving Friday!). This annual event is a massive draw for the entire Houston region, and its continued success is a testament to the thriving community spirit we have here in Montgomery County.
If you’re a first-time buyer or a move-up family looking at homes in Spring, Magnolia, or Lake Conroe, knowing you have access to a world-class cultural event like this right in your backyard is a huge perk!
What's New at the Kingdom for 2025
The TRF organizers just held their media day, and the news is exciting! While the beloved classics—turkey legs, jousting, and thousands of costumed characters—are all returning, the 2025 season is bringing some fantastic new additions:
1. Royal Accommodations: New Glamping Huts
Forget roughing it! For those who want the full weekend experience, the new "glamping" options are a game-changer. The festival is introducing sturdy, charming Arched Cabins LLC huts with high peak ceilings, a plush queen bed, and two camping chairs. This is the perfect option for families who want to stay close to the magic without sacrificing comfort. For our move-up families who enjoy weekend adventures, this is a must-try.
2. A Feast Fit for a King: New Food & Drink
While you can always find a giant turkey leg, the food options are getting an exciting update this year:
- Sweet Treats: Look for a new chocolatier serving delicious Dubai-style chocolate.
- Pub Favorites: The Queen's Pantry is adding a hearty BLT to its menu.
- Royal Brews: Texas Mead Works is releasing a new cider and a new mead, while Haak Vineyards & Winery will offer two new Renaissance-themed wines.
Plus, a festival favorite, the Chimney Cake booth, is getting a major upgrade with a brand-new building featuring a working windmill!
3. New Laughs and Entertainment
The kingdom’s entertainment acts are always world-class, and this year sees the return of fan-favorite ventriloquist Philnick the Great for his seventh season. He’ll be introducing a brand-new buzzard puppet named "Buzz" on the Titania's Bower Stage.
The Full Calendar of 2025 Themed Weekends

The Real Estate Connection: Community & Value
The proximity of the Texas Renaissance Festival adds tangible and intangible value to the homes in our core service areas—Magnolia, Conroe, Spring, and Willis.
- Economic Benefit: Events like TRF bring millions of dollars into the local economy through sales and hotel taxes, which helps fund community services and infrastructure—a win for all homeowners.
- Quality of Life: Having major, internationally recognized cultural events nearby is a huge selling point for families. It provides unparalleled entertainment and enhances the overall "feel" of the area.
- Stability: The festival’s ability to move forward with a successful 51st season—even after a recent change in ownership—demonstrates the deep, enduring roots of this tradition and the stability of the local community it supports.
We’re so proud to be the "Gateway to the Texas Renaissance Festival" in Conroe and Montgomery County. It’s just one more reason why this is an incredible place to live, work, and raise a family.
