On August 8, Lone Star Family Health Center officially dedicated its new $11.4 million, 24,000-square-foot expansion at its main campus in Conroe, marking a milestone in the region’s medical care capabilities.
The expansion began construction in November 2023 and was completed this spring, creating a modern, patient-centered environment designed to improve care and accessibility for the growing community.
State-of-the-Art Healthcare Facilities in Conroe
The two-story addition to Lone Star Family Health Center features:
- New medical exam rooms for faster patient access
- A dedicated mental health suite to address behavioral health needs in a private, compassionate setting
- Expanded patient intake areas, plus new upstairs offices and meeting/break spaces for staff efficiency
- Additional pharmacy space to better serve prescription needs
- A connecting corridor that creates a more intuitive and welcoming flow for patients entering the building
Improved Capacity and Patient Flow
CEO Karen Harwell shared that the new addition will allow Lone Star Family Health Center to serve 3,000 more patients each year across its network of clinics. The redesign not only increases the center’s physical capacity but also enhances efficiency, helping patients receive care faster and with a smoother experience from check-in to treatment.
